School: School of Social Sciences and Humanities
Unit Description: Students have the option to include an Industry and Professional Experience Program within their degree. The placement will be instituted within organisations appropriate to the course of study. Students will be formally supervised by an academic staff member from their course of study but will also come under the direction of their employer. Both the academic supervisor and the employer, in consultation, will assess the unit. The unit includes some workshops to prepare the students for the workplace experience.
