VET631: Wildlife Medicine
Provides basic skills necessary to deal with sick and injured wild fauna, including wildlife cases which could be presented for examination and treatment to veterinarians in private practice. Covers appropriate methods of physical and chemical restraint; diagnosis and treatment of common diseases and injuries; zoonoses; and nutrition and husbandry associated with management of wild fauna in captivity. Enables students to select some of the study modules from a range of topics relevant for veterinarians working with wildlife and zoo animals.
