| Unit Description: | Aims to assist those working within communities of voluntary commitment, such as Christian churches, to assess critically and theologically the appropriateness to such contexts of current education models. General schooling issues are not addressed. It compares the Hellenistic and Hebraic strands in the western concept of education and develops a modified approach to curriculum development in a faith community more compatible with biblical principles. Skills of program design and the guidance of learning in voluntary contexts will be developed. |
