| Unit Description: | This unit explores how Christian theology came to make various affirmation concerning the person and work of Jesus Christ. The unit covers biblical texts, philosophical frameworks and Christological controversies in the early Church. Building on this foundation, the unit will proceed to explore the way in which key figures in the history of theology understood the person and work of Jesus Christ, and some exemplary approaches offered by contemporary theologians. |
