STP325: Sustainable Development Project

This unit integrates knowledge gained from other units in the Sustainable Development degree and gives students an opportunity to apply it to a matter of special interest. Students from other degrees can similarly apply their background to a special project in sustainable development.
Motivated students are encouraged to work with government agencies, industry or civil society groups on projects that prepare them for the workplace or further study (such as Honours) through the acquisition of relevant knowledge, skills and experience.

Contact Time

Guided project work.
If the project is from the area of natural science, the points can be counted towards a BSc in Sustainable Development.
This decision is at the discretion of the Program Chair.

Prerequisites

ENV212 Global and Regional Sustainability and STP212 Ecologically Sustainable Development/Sustainability, Ecology and Communities or permission of the Program Chair.
Students from other majors may enrol subject to permission of the Unit Coordinator.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
