Unit Description: Explore the range of theoretical and methodological approaches taken toward key issues relating to women and development, including: the sexual division of labour; 'First World' and 'Third World' feminisms; women, the state and the family; women in the international division of labour; women and aid; and the construction of ethnic, class and gender identities. Enhance your critical responsiveness to the work of others, and make use of and develop various approaches in the area of women and development.
