STP108: Introduction to Sustainable Development

Introduces the array of economic, environmental, technological, political and moral reforms that are necessary if modern paths of development are to become more sustainable. Topics: issues facing global policy makers such as transport planning, the imperatives of globalisation, the information revolution and renewable energy; local possibilities for more sustainable forms of development from reconciliation with indigenous communities to more participatory forms of decision-making. Learn forms of analysis and discussion that can help transform the ways in which our society operates.
