PSY212: Psychology: Measurement, Design and Analysis

The unit will provide students with knowledge of fundamental concepts involved in psychological methods, research design, data analysis, and in the interpretation of published research. Students will develop skills in assessing which designs and methods are appropriate to test different hypotheses, understanding which types of analyses are most appropriate to analyse different types of data, the ability to conduct analyses using statistical software and to communicate their results clearly.

Prerequisites	PSY173 Introduction to Psychological Research Methods or PSY211 Psychological Methods I.
Exclusions	Students who have successfully completed PSY212 Psychological Methods II may not enrol in this unit for credit.
Notes	Students enrolling in this unit from 2010 must have completed at least 5 hours as a participant in psychological research or have completed an essay on psychological research to the satisfaction of the Unit Coordinator.
