School: School of Social Sciences and Humanities
Unit Description: National government policy makers are increasingly influenced by international circumstances when making policy choices and implementing those decisions. Who are the relevant policy players on particular issues? What strategies do they use to bring about policy change? What are the implications of policy transfer between countries? Policy areas that will be examined include the media, immigration, higher education and health.
Enrolment Options:
POL375MURDOCH: Semester 2, Internal
MURDOCH: Semester 2, External
POL575MURDOCH: Semester 2, Internal
MURDOCH: Semester 2, External
Contact Time: Up to 3 hours per week.
Exclusions: Students who have successfully completed POL375/POL575 Issues in Public Policy may not enrol in this unit for credit.
Notes: Students currently enrolled, or intending to enrol, in the Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters by Coursework should enrol in the higher-level code for this unit.
