| Unit Description: | A Parliamentary Internship is a cooperative arrangement with the Western Australian State Parliament. Public Policy Internships are a cooperative arrangement with the Western Australian Public Service. Students undertake research with the collective guidance of a member of parliament or public service agency, and an academic supervisor. The research project is supported by a series of seminars which range in focus from considerations of parliamentary government and policy making to the ethics of research. |

| Contact Time: | Up to 3 hours per week. |
| Notes: | Acceptance into the unit depends upon a demonstrated high standard of academic performance. Students intending to undertake an internship should apply to the Unit Coordinator before the end of Semester 1. |
