POL512: Health Practice and Management (Not available in 2009)

This unit deals with business activities involving more than one country, including trade of goods and services; movement of personnel, capital and technology; and dealing with employees in or from other countries. It will look at issues such as interaction of the firm with the host countries' economics, politics, cultures and legal systems; accounting and taxation problems with multinational entities; structuring a multinational organisation; and formulation and controlling multinational strategy.
