| Unit Description: | This unit introduces students to the elements of ethics, ethical reasoning and practical decision-making in relation to contemporary concerns about public, professional and personal ethical responsibility in the workplace, community and global contexts. The unit focuses on the development of practical skills in ethical sensitivity, discrimination and judgement, in a world where ethical values are contested and changing. Questions include: truth-telling and integrity, reproductive technologies, euthanasia, racial inequality, corporate social responsibility, business ethics, cyberethics, war and global justice. |
