Unit Description: This unit is designed to appeal to all who are interested in basic questions about life and society, and to increase their ability to follow, develop, and convey reasoned arguments. Typical questions are: What is the mind? Is there a God? Do we have free will? Do animals have rights? What moral obligations do we have to people who are starving? What is the ultimate nature of reality? Do our lives have meaning? Issues will be discussed in the tutorials.

MURDOCH: Semester 2, Internal

Contact Time: Lectures/tutorials: up to 2.5 hours per week.
