Unit Description: What caused the deaths of all members of the Franklin Expedition to the Arctic in the 1840s? Who was behind Abraham Lincoln's assassination? Who was Jack the Ripper? Why did Nazi Rudolf Hess fly to Britain in 1941? Who betrayed French Resistance leader Jean Moulin at Caluire in 1943? Working in 'squads', discover, analyse and report on evidence, using library and Internet resources. Develop research, analytical and reporting/writing skills, and examine the historical contexts in which these mysteries occurred.
