Unit Description: This unit provides students with practical experience in basic theatrical acting and production. Skills students may choose to learn include the following: acting (movement, characterization and voice), stage and production management, lighting, sound, costume design, publicity, set design and construction. These skills are tested in front of an audience in one or more theatrical productions. This unit is a prerequisite for EGL329/EGL529 Acting and Production II.

Contact Time: Workshops: 3 hours per week; rehearsals: as required.
