EDU2541: Media and the Curriculum

This unit examines the study of media in the K-12 school curriculum, particularly as it applies to the learning areas of English, the arts, and technology and enterprise. Attention is given to how a variety of media theories might be adapted for use in primary and secondary classrooms; students might expect to develop an increased understanding and critical awareness of - as well as gaining some practice in - the construction and analysis of a range of media texts.

Notes	Curriculum teaching minor in Media requires a maximum of two units (6 points) at Part I-level and at least one unit (4 points) at Part II-level from the Mass Communication or Media Studies or Multimedia majors.
