EDU254: Media and the Curriculum
This unit examines the study of media in the K-12 school curriculum, particularly as it applies to the learning areas of English, the arts, and technology and enterprise. Attention is given to how a variety of media theories might be adapted for use in primary and secondary classrooms; students might expect to develop an increased understanding and critical awareness of - as well as gaining some practice in - the construction and analysis of a range of media texts.

| Prerequisites | Enrolment in a teacher education course [either BEd (Secondary) or BEd (Secondary) (Graduate) or GradDipEd (Primary) or GradDipEd (Secondary)], AND have successfully completed EDU101/EDU1011 Introduction to Teaching.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
