COD535: Community Work across Sites, Settings and Peoples

Community Development is used in social work, local government, community services, remote area education, indigenous communities, community arts and cultural development, overseas aid work, economic and social planning, sustainable development, and urban planning. This unit aims to equip students with an understanding and appreciation of the diversity of settings and areas of practice within community development in contemporary Australia. It will provide students with skills to analyse, interpret and critically reflect upon practical examples of community development projects.
