| Unit Description: | Often there is a remarkable difference between what people say about community work and what they actually do. This unit helps you to understand how ideas and practice interconnect or do not. It helps you compare and contrast what you have read and learned with what you see happening in a community or governmental setting. You will be asked to undertake a short supervised placement or project in conjunction with an organisation that draws on language and ideas about 'community'. |
