Unit Description: This intensive unit is focused on providing ecologists with enhanced knowledge and practical skills in designing a sampling regime and undertaking quantitative analysis of their data. Emphasis is placed on the correct application of statistical methods, their assumptions and interpretation of results, rather than on the underlying mathematical principles. It has three main components:Experimental design and univariate techniquesMultivariate techniques and community ecologyModelling.
