BIO300: Industry Practicum

This unit recognises the importance of appropriate work experience in an industrial environment, enabling students to obtain appropriate credit points. Students wishing to participate must submit a proposal form available from the Unit Coordinator. Approval is based upon the merit of the proposal and the appropriateness of the placement. Students are encouraged to find their own placement. Upon completion of industry work students submit written reports on the work undertaken. Confidential projects will be considered.

Contact Time	Approximately 130 hours for a 4-point practicum and proportionately less for the 3- and 2-point options.
Prerequisites	Completion of at least 48 points. Selection into this unit will be on a competitive basis because places are limited.
