AIS301: Indigenous Sustainability

This unit engages students in contemporary issues surrounding 'Sustainability', with regard to Indigenous Community Development. It investigates sociopolitical movements impacting upon Indigenous communities in Australia within a wider Western notion of development. Indigenous Sustainability, operating within Indigenous cultural practices, and involving the management of indigenous cultural natural resources, is examined as a developing model for future Indigenous Community Development, and as a movement that is invigorating the wider international sustainability institutions.

Nil.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.

Exclusions

Students who have successfully completed AIS201 Indigenous Sustainability may not enrol in this unit for credit.

Notes

Graduate, Postgraduate and Honours students should enrol in the higher-level code for this unit.
